Who’s Behind It?

The German Center for Research and Innovation (DWIH) New York is the scientific bridge between the U.S. and Germany. The abbreviation “DWIH” stands for “Deutsches Wissenschafts- und Innovationshaus”. Funded by the German Federal Foreign Office and administered by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the DWIH New York has been investigating how basic research and emerging technologies affect people and society since 2010.

Through our events and communications, we encourage transatlantic exchange and collaboration on topics related to the future like A.I., digital health, urbanization and climate change. Our network consists of 25 partners, including German universities, government organizations and research institutions with or without a presence in the U.S. The DWIH network includes five other German Centers for Research and Innovation worldwide.
